Clinical Psychology Services

Compassionate, accepting, empowering…

I am a clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience in treating adults with a range of conditions including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, social phobia, panic attacks, grief, adjustment disorder, and interpersonal issues. I have a particular interest in working with those with anxiety issues, trauma, and perinatal and postnatal depression. Working with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures is a highlight of my work.

I work with clients in a person-centred approach using a range of interventions depending on what best suits the client I am treating. I draw from evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, neuropsychotherapy approaches, mindfulness, solution focused, interpersonal therapy and positive psychology.

My approach is empathic, supportive and down to earth. I like to celebrate the individuality of my clients and their personalities, and apply therapeutic approaches with creativity, flexibility and humour. I provide a safe therapeutic environment where clients are able to open up and gain the most out of their therapy experience and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children, two cats and a dog, watching my children play sport and dreaming about the days when I used to be able to play myself!

Appointments

Face to Face

Face to face appointments take place at the Ocean Grove Psychology Collective on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Face to face appointments are only available if you are double vaccinated against COVID 19, are symptom free, and not currently a close contact. If one of these criteria are not met, you will be able to convert your appointment to telehealth.

Telehealth

Telehealth has now been approved in an ongoing capacity by the Australian Government. This means that if a mental health care plan is in place from your GP, you can claim a Medicare rebate for your session if this is in person, or via video call or phone call. You no longer have to meet location criteria to access this.
I am currently offering telehealth Monday to Thursday. You are able to access face to face, or telehealth, or a mix of both for your appointments depending on availability.
It is necessary to have an internet connection of 3G, 4G or 5G to access telehealth. If you don’t have this at your home, you may want to check with your local library if this is a service they offer. You need to have a space which is quiet and private for your consultation.
